On his Facebook timeline, the former National president of NUZAS and current National publicity secretary for ZAYODA (Zaar Youth Development Association) calls for urgent attention from relevant stakeholders on the current state of a school in Marti town, Lere south of Tafawa balewa LGA. In his words, Com. M M Musa described the level of dilapidation that the school is currently facing and the resultant effect that that could be posing on the students.
" I was in Marti town for the second time in my life i guess. During my visit, I took time to go round the town. One of the places i visited is Marti primary school. A structure I was told doubles as both primary school and upper basic respectively. ’’
Needed not to go beyond the condition of the physical infrastructure, on a first glance, I knew the entire institution was in a very bad state. Everything around had already suggest that things were not how they use to, or at worst where they should be by now. One could see the pupils sitting in class room blocks that were almost falling off, most didn't have a complete roofing. Seeing these young pupils sitting on the bare mud floor actually broke my heart..."
He then called on relevant stakeholders, and the entire community to arise to their individual and collective responsibilities in order to address similar challenges in the community.
